You can book our meeting room for your free event, whether it's public or private!

If you are interested in hosting a paid event or workshop or doing a popup at the store to sell your own goods or services, please fill out our Popup Event Application instead. Authors should visit our Author Info page.

Meeting Room Rentals
Our meeting room is available for free events for a small sliding scale fee starting at $5/hour. The sliding scale starts at $20/hour for use by organizations. If you are able to, please consider contributing more to ensure the longevity of our store.

If your event is public and you would like Under the Umbrella to advertise it, there is a $10 listing fee. Images and event details are due at least two weeks in advance, and must be submitted by the 28th of the month to be included in our newsletter.

Cafe Rentals
Our cafe space is also available for renting, but requires a larger deposit and more involved planning.

After Cafe Hours
The cafe is available after cafe hours for a sliding scale fee starting at $20/hour. You can book this directly on our website using the form below. If $20 is a barrier for your or your group, please reach out.

During Cafe Hours
The cafe is also available to rent during cafe hours. If you would like to reserve partial cafe space that won't affect cafe service to the public, the rate starts at $20/hour, depending on organization size.

Individual group use
Individuals may reserve cafe space for $20/hour.
Small organization use
Small organizations (staff of 12 or fewer and/or profit/operational budget of less than $50k) may reserve the cafe space for $40/hour.

Large organization use
Larger organizations (staff of 13+ and/or profit or operational budget of more than 50K) may reserve the cafe space for $80/hour.
If you need full use of the space, the cafe can be rented, depending on availability, for $200/hour. Cafe service can be added for an additional $50/hour. A $50 deposit is required to book the space. This is refundable up to 1 week in advance of your event. Please call or email to discuss options for booking the cafe during cafe hours.
