Part of the goal of Under the Umbrella is connecting local queer authors, artists, and makers within the queer community. One way we do this is through our events and popup programs! Learn more below.
Popups, Workshops, and Other Paid Events
Interested in holding a popup, workshop, or other paid event at our shop? You can book our meeting room or gallery space for your event!
Under the Umbrella only offers popup and workshop placements for queer-owned businesses. Please only apply to hold a paid popup or workshop at Under the Umbrella if you are queer.
If you are accepted as a popup vendor or workshop host, we will send you a contract and request a $10 deposit to hold the date of your event.
The deposit can be refunded with cancelations made 48 hours in advance. Otherwise, the deposit goes toward your commission payment.
To ensure the longevity of the store, we require a commission of $10 per hour or 10% of sales, whichever you prefer, with minimum requirement of $10 per day.
To have your event publicized on our events calendar, we require an additional non-refundable $10 fee.
