About Queer Speed Date
Join @speedyqueers (on Instagram) for a mixer event to make new friends, lovers, or any form of queer community while chatting about the book of the month! Because of the content of some of the books and nature of the event, this event is 18+ but otherwise open to all.
This is a fun and safe space to create queer community in all of its forms. Unlike hetero speed date, queer speed date celebrates all forms of relationships: friendships, platonic partnerships, romantic relationships, sexual partnerships, family groups, polycules, and more.

How it works
Read the book of the month, come to Under the Umbrella, and strike up conversation with new people! Purchasing the monthly book pick or even reading it is not required. This event also features the Queer Speed Date conversation cards to get the banter flowing.
