About the Event
About the Book Club
The graphic novel book club meets on the last Tuesday of each month and discusses a different queer graphic novel. We've been able to connect with authors and artists and receive swag before, so this is not a book club to miss!
Claiming a Free Book
Thanks to a generous donation, we are able to proviede three free copies of the book of the month EACH MONTH! If you are interested in receiving a free copy, fill out this form. We are prioritizing BIPOC, disabled, and trans readers for these free copies. You may apply for free books each month, but we will prioritize new individuals.Â
COVID Precautions
It is a requirement for both the bookstore and the book club to wear a mask. An air purifier will be running in the room throughout the duration of the book club meeting.
About Brooms by Jasmine Walls
Set in an alternate 1930’s Mississippi, Brooms centers on six BIPOC witches teaming up to compete in illegal broom races in order to earn money to better their lives in a place where the laws are made to keep them down. Brooms focuses on the bonds of friendships, new and old, and the strength it provides.Â
