About Fat & Queer Yoga
Fat & Queer yoga is a space designed to help you to tap into the notion that you are perfect just the way you are. You deserve a practice that celebrates you, ALL of you. Join us for a gentle & activating yoga session that combines asana, pranayama, and meditation to bring you into the present moment, and help you feel a little more at ease as you take up SPACE in this crazy world.
Wear comfy clothes and bring a yoga mat with you. If you have any yoga props such as blocks, bolsters, pillows, straps etc., you are welcome to bring those as well!
Covid Precautions
Under the Umbrella requires that all guests of the bookstore wear masks for their entire visit, including during yoga practice.
Pricing
Fat & Queer yoga is offered at a sliding scale rate of $10-20. Aside from the room fee, 100% of these fees go to keeping Expansively Aligned running & accessible to as many folks as possible. You are always welcome to sponsor a spot for people who might otherwise lose access to such needed spaces as this one.
About Andrea and Expansively Aligned
Andrea is a queer femme, first gen Yoga teacher, spaceholder, and artist. They are a strong advocate for body liberation & anti-diet spaces, and apply these lenses to their work as they help folks expand their self-love, embrace Body Liberation, and take up SPACE. They have a 200hr YTT certification in Hatha & Vinyasa yoga. They are also a Yoga Therapist Student, where they are learning and integrating knowledge that will vastly expand the way they can serve their communities as a practitioner. Andrea currently runs a yoga studio where their sessions focus on embodiment & Body Peace through yoga.

$15 of this ticket price will go directly to Andrea. $5 will go to the bookstore to pay for the use of the space and the work Kaitlyn does to prepare and cleanup after practice.
