About Perennials

Perennials, a debut poetry collection by Dylah Ray, begins as an exploration of heartache and continues through the seasons of healing, rebuilding, and finding joy through new and emerging identities. Through a transformational journey of being uprooted, Perennials shows us what can bloom when we allow ourselves the opportunity to grow anew. Stunningly honest and evocative in its exploration of relationships, motherhood, and queerness, this collection serves as a reminder that sometimes the most vivid colors come from charred earth.
