Join Under the Umbrella Bookstore's graphic novel book club for a conversation with Jasmine Brooms and Teo DuVall, authors of the queer, witchy Fast and the Furious graphic novel, Brooms.
COVID Precautions
It is a requirement for both the bookstore and the book club to wear a mask. An air purifier will be running in the room throughout the duration of the book club meeting.
About Brooms by Jasmine Walls & Teo DuVall
Set in an alternate 1930’s Mississippi, Brooms centers on six BIPOC witches teaming up to compete in illegal broom races in order to earn money to better their lives in a place where the laws are made to keep them down. Brooms focuses on the bonds of friendships, new and old, and the strength it provides.Â
